If you go back to the history of the iPhone, you will find six generations of iPhone models, each accompanied by one of the six major releases of iOS. The original iPhone was a GSM phone, and established design precedents, such as screen size and button placement, that have persisted through all models.
The iPhone 4 featured a higher-resolution 960 × 640 “retina display“, a higher-resolution rear-facing camera and a lower-resolution front-facing camera for video calling and other apps. The iPhone 4S added an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording, a dual-core processor, and a natural language voice control system called Siri.
The iPhone 5 features the new A6 processor, holds a 4-inch Retina display that is larger than its predecessor’s 3.5-inch display, and replaces the 30-pin connector with an all-digital Lightning connector.
If you notice the pattern, Apple has always an iPhone S line and it just so happens that the iPhone 5S is on the way.
Possible Release Date of the iPhone 5S: June 2013
The iPhone 5S could come in a range of different colors and is due to the fact that Apple wants to compete with Android by offering more customization.
People might not just be seeing the iPhone 5S in 2013 but also the iPhone mini. At the very least it looks to be that Apple will use the A6X chip which is currently found in the new iPad with Retina Display however there have been rumors that the company is already developing an A7 chip which will almost definitely be implemented in the iPhone 6 and the iPad 5.
One of the rumours over which there is some contestation is that the iPhone 5S could come with up to 128GB storage while iPhone 6 rumors have suggested it will only be available on the 6th generation devices.
Since all the rumors have been getting out one after the other, people are starting to ask when is the apple iPhone 6 coming out?
While the iPhone 5S will be released sometime in June 2013 and will be accompanied by a less expensive version, the iPhone mini, this does contradict with the iPhone 6 release date rumors which suggest that the iPhone 6 will also have a 2013 launch implying that the 6th generation will be launched much later in the year.
